Here at Freshwater Estates, we understand that some properties may be rented. This page provides background and important links on short-term rentals (STRs). The Louisa County Board of Supervisors passed new regulations effective 1/1/24 governing Short Term Rentals in the County. It is vital that anyone who uses their property as a STR is not only familiar with these new regulations but adheres to them as well. 

 

STRs are accommodations that are rented for less than 30 days. Louisa County Short-Term Rental Ordinance is intended to provide the broadest coverage in protecting property owners, increasing occupant safety, and guarding community interests.
